I know I am gonna get hate with this but I really enjoy the game thus far and NBA MT Coins love the new shot meter. I genuinely believe this is going to be much better than 20 and I will have fun on it. I don't despise them for making it exactly the same since the new gen is coming out in two months lol. Obviously they are not gonna go all out trying to enhance the graphics cause that would be dumb to place all their time when the new gen is coming out in the exact same time frame so they probably directed their focus to next gen.
I know that is a shitty thing on their part and that they have not been reliable the past 3 years but it's similar to whenever the ps4 came out they stopped putting effort into their 2ks after which 2k14 on the PS4 was amazing and everyone loved it. Anyhow my point is that I really enjoy what they've done with the meter and think it feels fantastic and plays good so far and I'm not bashing them for it appearing exactly the same because it is supposed to look exactly the same before next gen. Today if it's still bad and seems the exact same and plays the same on next gen I'll for sure be pissed and be done with 2k but as if I know that's my view on things.
Dribbling was kinda cruced the way you do moves doesn't transition or correlate well. Like the new means to do a behind the back just doesn't flow well with different moves. I actually liked the dribbling longer, sounded like it was harder to spam one move together a bundle and simpler to string different moves more easily, I believe as we get more used to the dribbling it might be a whole lot easier than 2k20. I actually liked the dribbling more, seemed like it had been harder to spam 1 move together a bunch and simpler to chain unique moves more easily, I think as we get more used to the dribbling it could be a whole lot easier than 2k20.
The dribbling just feels like it's a low skill gap, and all the higher skilled motions (18 half spin, walkback combos, etc) all look clunky and embarrassing. Like in 19 or 17 the highest skill moves , and it felt like you had complete control over your own player. The fact that they made the stop a move from flicking up on the right stick into tapping on LT made me delete the demo real fast, idky that they fucking change shit every year for no reason it is so fucking annoying to understand standard shit again because they transfer it around for no reason. What do you want realistic dribbling or dribbling where you almost need to do nothing to pull off moves?
What? Realistic dribbling is so simple. I learned all the realistic moves in 20 the first few days the match dropped. The proficient shit such as the 18 half twist took way longer. Dribbling in Buy NBA 2K MT 17, 19, and 16 took ability. It wasn't realistic. It generated a massive skill gap and has been entertaining as fuck though.
