Earlier this week, Jagex revealed its RS gold plans for the elimination of bounty hunter worlds at Old School RuneScape. The developer claimed that the minigame's design left it susceptible to gamers that"abuse its mechanics to generate GP in excess of the amounts available via legitimate procedures." Though there weren't any essential problems with the mini game, Jagex felt that bounty hunting"undermines other game content and the overall integrity of the match".
At a today's news update, Jagex verified that worlds 318 and 319 have been closed off. As PvP is a huge portion of Old School RuneScape, the studio assures fans that a remedy is in the works, and that bounty searching will return in a"few months".
"Our goal is to determine a long-term eyesight for PvP. Rather than move from one release to the next, we need a clear direction for the next few years which will inform how we style articles moving forward."
"The Old School team will begin focusing on PvP content through our February design days. We want to come back to you with ideas which we're able to shape and adjust with our players to ensure PvP becomes something we're all happy with."
OSRS Twisted League is Underway
A brand-new game style has came for the game in the form of this Twisted League. This is the very first RuneScape League where players can take to buy OSRS gold servers to perform tasks in restricted locations. Trading restrictions also apply and boosted experience rates in those leagues. Completing the tasks that are said for League and Relics Points, instead of perennially chasing OSRS gold, will be the main focus of this league. These serve to mix the experience up.
